Fuck Do-overs!

Sometimes I wonder if we really do get second chances. I mean people say that its never too late to make things alright but I don't understand how any of that is even possible. You can't reverse the time and change things. You cant take back the words that you have already said. You cant work hard for a test you have already failed. And you cant undo your mistakes no matter how much you want to. Thats why I believe that we don't, after all, get second chances in life.

I make mistakes. Like tons of them. I often end up hurting people with my actions and messing up those relationships. And trust me, I have screwed up my share of tests as well. But most importantly, I have regretted doing all these things like hell. It's not like I can fucking go back and change them now.So why believe in the idea of second chances. It's all a sham to make people feel better about their mistakes and give them hope when really, there is none. You can go ahead and call me a cynic but you cant deny the logic behind this, or can you? 

But you know what, somebody once told me that instead of making regrets out of your mistakes, why not learn lessons? Sometimes this lesson may get clouded by guilt but you should at least believe in the idea of it.
Yeah I know you cant study hard for a test you've failed. And you cant take back the words that came out wrong. And you as fucking hell can't reverse the time and undo your mistakes. I know you don't get second chances to make amendments but you do get second chances for your self. You can't make the past go away but you can sure as hell learn from your mistakes and do the right thing in future.

So I guess second chances are not really about changing your past or getting a second take at something but instead about making the positive change in you and saving yourself. It's never too late to at least do that. So what, if you screwed up that effing test, you can study hard and ace the next one. So what, if you lost a really awesome girlfriend or boyfriend, you can always find love again. So what if you made mistakes. I mean who does not? Just let lessons you learnt be your saving grace.
