Prince on a White Horse

I am officially tired of those girls who talk about princes on white horse. They think that someday a guy will walk into their lives out of nowhere, change everything and turn their lives into a fairytale with a cheesy happy-ending. Call me cynical, but I think its really stupid and delusional of a person to believe something like that. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that you cant find your soul mate who will someday make you happy. All I'm saying is, that if you want to change your life or be happier, you'll have to do it yourself.

I keep thinking about all the things that are wrong in my life. All the regrets, all the sorrows and all the expectations of what should've been or could've been and sometimes I desperately wish for things to change but I also know that in order to bring that change, I'll have to work towards it. I as hell cant expect anyone else to do this for me because honestly, my life is my responsibility and I can't depend on others to make me happy. I can't afford the "white horse prince" fantasy because I know that only I have the choice to make myself happy because happiness, change and love are not incidents but choices that you have to make in your life by accepting the truth of life with bravery and contentment.

I know you must think I'm crazy or that I do not believe in true love but the truth is that I believe most in the one principle that only you can save yourself. If you find yourself in a situation you do not like, then change it. If you do not like your present company, then leave it. You're never too hopeless to not be able to survive on your own. A prince on a white horse is a fantasy. Its a dream that may or may not come true, so don't depend on that special someone to walk out of nowhere and change everything. Take charge of your own life, after all you are the one who is supposed to live it.
